Why Car Value Is Important When Shopping For A New Car...

Many people look for a new car in their local papers; it’s an easy way to find one and you can get in touch with the owner very easily too.
But it’s a good idea to find out the car value before you make any enquiries about the car, because you will need to know whether the owner has priced the car value too highly, or a lot lower than it should be.
If this happens there could be a number of reasons for seeing a different car value to what you expect. For example, if the driver doesn’t realise the car value they may price it too low. On the other hand it could just be that they know the car value but want to be rid of it quickly because they are moving, or for some other legitimate reason. In this case the difference between the price and the car value could mean you get a great and honest bargain.
On the other hand, if you see a car value in the newspaper which seems too high, double check the actual car value in a price guide or on a website. It may be that the car is a slightly difference model to the one you thought it was originally, which accounts for the increased car value. But it could simply be that the car is in excellent condition and the owner is asking more for it on that basis.
If this is the case, bear in mind the actual car value when you go to see it, and haggle with the owner to get a better price. They may simply be trying to get as much money for it as possible, hence the bigger car value they have put on it. If this is the case you should be able to arrive at an agreeable solution.
